By accessing or using the Atrafi Digital Equb Financial Technology PLC mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
Atrafi Digital Equb Financial Technology PLC provides a digital platform for organizing and managing traditional equb (rotating savings and credit association) groups. Our services include:
• Creating and joining equb groups
• Managing contributions and payments
• Tracking equb rounds and payouts
• Facilitating secure financial transactions
• Providing notifications and reminders
To use our services, you must:
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Have legal capacity to enter into contracts
• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials
As a user of our platform, you agree to:
• Provide accurate and truthful information
• Make timely equb contributions as agreed
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
• Not use the service for fraudulent purposes
• Respect other users and equb group rules
• Keep your account secure and confidential
All equb contributions must be made according to the agreed schedule. Late payments may incur penalties as specified in the equb group terms.
We may charge service fees for certain transactions. All fees will be clearly disclosed before you complete a transaction.
Payouts are processed according to equb group rules and may be subject to verification. We reserve the right to delay or decline payouts if fraud is suspected.
You may not:
• Use the service for illegal activities
• Attempt to defraud other users or the platform
• Impersonate others or provide false information
• Interfere with the platform's operation
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access
• Share your account with others
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if:
• You violate these Terms of Service
• You engage in fraudulent activity
• Your account remains inactive for an extended period
• We are required to do so by law
You may delete your account at any time through the app (Profile → Delete Account), subject to:
• No outstanding debts or unpaid balances
• No active equb memberships with pending rounds
• No pending payout requests
Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed, but anonymized financial records will be retained for 7 years as required by Ethiopian financial regulations.
Atrafi Digital Equb Financial Technology PLC is a platform facilitating equb groups. We are not responsible for:
• Actions or defaults of other equb members
• Disputes between equb group members
• Financial losses from equb participation
• Service interruptions or technical issues
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount of service fees you have paid in the past 12 months.
In case of disputes:
• Contact our support team first for resolution
• Disputes will be resolved through good faith negotiation
• Ethiopian law shall govern these terms
• Courts in Addis Ababa shall have jurisdiction
Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review it to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
We may modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify users of significant changes through the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
